Koheleth is a deeply contemplative work and a personal favorite, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful execution. Every detail—down to the textured stripes of the tallis—is carefully sculpted, blurring the boundary between traditional painting and sculpture. Light plays a critical role in the experience of the piece; when illuminated from above, it creates a carefully controlled atmosphere that enhances depth and presence. Set against a wood-paneled backdrop, the work invites reflection on the passage of time and the gradual fading of memory. Inspired by Ecclesiastes (Koheleth), the painting ultimately asks the viewer to consider what truly matters in life.
